Dracula’s Death
This film is a remake of the 1921 silent movie Dracula’s Death, produced a year before Murnau’s famous Nosferatu. The original film was lost during World War II, but eight emerging directors reimagined it, each directing a chapter from the novel of the same title published after the film’s release. Shot on 16mm black-and-white film, the story diverges from Bram Stoker’s classic, unfolding as a series of nightmares and events set in a mental asylum where Dracula is one of the patients. Coincidentally, this is the first Dracula movie directed and produced by Transylvanians.
As part of the pulzArt Festival, the audience in Sfântu Gheorghe is invited to a special cinematic experience: a film screening accompanied by live music. Performers: Miquéu Montanaro (flute), Christian Sebille (electronics), Csaba Gáspár (violin), Lehel Vitályos (double bass), Paul Grosar (trumpet).
After the screening, there will be an artist talk session with composer Miquéu Montanaro.
