Described as “puppet pioneers” and “the UK’s puppet masters”, Blind Summit is reinventing puppetry for modern adult audiences. The company was founded in 1997 and since then has worked on productions around the world.
“Blind Summit are the UK’s puppet masters, a company whose shows have proved that puppetry doesn’t have to come either with apologies or strings attached” (The Guardian)
The workshop introduces the three basic principles of Bunraku puppetry – focus, breathing, and fixed point – and the fundamentals of bringing a puppet to life. From there we explore improvising to create puppet characters and stories.
The workshop will be in english and it is for puppeteers or actors with experience in puppetry, as well as students studying in the field of puppetry.
