During a one-hour concert, the audience can join in an improvised sonic journey, traversing symbolic realms hidden within the geometric shapes of a mandala. All of this takes place in an immersed and exploratory state by the lake in the Elizabeth Park in Saint George.

Curious about discovering the sonic textures and what lies beneath them? The repeating rhythmic patterns will guide you. Join us for the performance of Zsolt Fekete, Emcsi, and Voiwode on the 16 of September, starting at 20:00, in the Elizabeth Park.

Zsolt Fekete, percussions

A freelance actor and musician from Saint George. He is involved in various cultural and artistic projects as a participant or creator. He’s known for the music-infused Perkucigo performance, which reflects on the social situation of the Romani community, and as a founder and active participant in the diverse FöldSzint interdisciplinary art atelier. He regularly performs in solo music projects, as well as in bands and various musical collaborations.

Emcsi and Voiwode (Bence Kovács-Vajda), electronics

Emcsi and Bence Kovács-Vajda, also known as Voiwode, are students of the Electronic Music and Media Arts programme at the University of Pécs. They work with recorded and synthesised sounds. Spicing it all up with a touch of noise, they create flowing soundscapes, almost tangible textures, and immersive auditory experiences. On the 17th of March this year, they introduced themselves to our town’s audience with an improvisational post-ambient concert at MAGMA Contemporary Art Space.

Emcsi is a sound artist and producer. She keeps her ears open, records, and turns these recordings into soundscapes. She then deconstructs them and weaves new narratives using electronic elements. Her compositions are rooted in profound, personal experiences, resulting in a suggestive and infinite melodic style.

Voiwode continuously refines his techniques to craft an atmosphere characterised by a harmonious blend of meditative immersion and unsettling noises. His affinity for monotonous pulsations and peculiar sounds guides his exploration of unknown sonic realms.
