► 22:00 – 23:00 Bocsárdi Magor (RO)
Magor Bocsárdi is an artist from Sfântu Gheorghe, currently living scattered around, but mainly in Budapest. Besides making music, he works as a theatre composer and often pops up as an actor. He plays several instruments, and for some time now, in addition to violin and trumpet, he has been twisting and turning various electronic gadgets. Now he brings all this together in a unique musical act based on improvisation, where he loops the instruments and adds a touch of electronics to create a unique soundscape.
► 23:00 – 00:30 Alizarina Live (FR/BE)
Hailing from the hybrid music scenes of France and Belgium and representing Global Hybrid Records, musician-producer Alizarina‘s live performances are a captivating blend of diverse genres. From the driving beats of techno to the soulful influence of Klezmer, Tsiganes, Arabic and even classical music notes, his sound is shaped by a rich childhood musical heritage, his extensive travel experiences, and tireless curiosity.
With hypnotic rhythms and his ever-so-faithful clarinet, Alizarina’s music takes listeners on a journey that resonates with both body and mind. His live set blends the organic charm of his clarinet with electronic beats, creating a soundscape that is sensitive, subtle, and poetic. This alchemist of sounds extends a hand to guide you into his world, where you’ll lose control in the best possible way.
► 00:30 – 01:30 Infragandhi (HU)
Infragandhi, known for his eclectic sets, has been one of the most popular DJs of the Hungarian electronic scene for almost 25 years. The big turning point in his career occurred when Est FM Radio started in 2000. Since the spring of 2003, he has been doing a radio show for RadiOzora and running a series of parties under the name of Deck Attack, in which current foreign musicians are also shown to the Hungarian audience. During the past ten years, he has been helping to start the careers of a couple of DJs in the new DJ generation. In 2020, he reopened the legendary Piaf Bar in Budapest under the new name Edith. It has become the apple of his eye and has been organising colourful events there weekly, from cultural events through movie nights to parties. For him, being a DJ is not a profession but rather a passion for making music.
He considers himself a natural-born genre-agnostic, which he is perfectly fine with: ‘I’ve never been able to fully embrace any subculture. It’s not an aesthetic choice, I’m probably just constitutionally incapable of it. (…) I’ve never understood how you can spend a career in the service of one style, especially as a DJ. It’s like making love exclusively in a missionary position for a lifetime.”
Over the years he has played with names such as Fatboy Slim, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Richard Dorfmeister, Peter Kruder, Fink, Jose Padilla, Dreadzone, Koop, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, and The Herbaliser.
► 01:30 – 02:30 Prezeng (RO)
Prezeng is an electro-acoustic trio born to maintain musical survival mechanisms. Their music is more sound than music in the traditional sense – it is performed through intricate filters and uninhibited improvisation. Ancient rhythms, soul, air, decorative harmony.
One of the group’s main goals is to create a musical happening through improvisation, blending old sounds with new ones by exploring different musical genres, and in the process, crafting something entirely fresh and unique.
Magor Bocsárdi plays the violin and trumpet while using various vocal effects. Bence Kónya Ütő handles the keyboard, sampler and other gadgets, being responsible for the live sound. Zsolt Fekete Lovas plays the drums and percussion instruments.
