Projection Mapping Workshop
László Zsolt Bordos (also known as Bordos.ArtWorks) is a 3D artist living in Budapest, Hungary. He started as a VJ in year 2000, performing in the underground party culture of Budapest. With his early 3D-vjing (2001-2004), his participation to huge size architectural slide projections (2002-2005) and his outrageous video projections and 3D mapping projects (2006-present), he became a pioneer of the genre.
Cooperating with other artists since 2010, he started to run the projects under the name ‘Bordos.ArtWorks and Invited Artists’, which became internationally recognized as eminent representatives of video projection mapping. Since 2014 Bordos is focusing again on solo art projects, installations and scenery projections for theatres and operas, having mapping projects in more than 40 countries all over the world.
The visual artist has screened his artworks on the world’s most representative buildings from Shanghai to Los Angeles, including the Eiffel Tower.
► During the three days of Projection Mapping Workshop, held by Bordos László Zsolt – Bordos.ArtWorks, participants will get an insight into the creation of 3ds Max animation, the use of Realflow Fluid Simulation Software, as well as have the opportunity to prepare their own work, that will be presented to the great public at the end of the festival.
► The language of the workshop is Hungarian / English / Romanian and is suited to any age, but basic prior knowledge is needed. (semi-pros)
Participants should bring their laptops and have installed (trial version is OK) the following softwares: 3ds Max, Realflow, AfterEffects.
► Participation fee is 200 RON which includes a lunch on each day of the workshop and free access to iamyank Live Ensemble
► Time of workshop: 13 – 16 September 11:00 – 16:00 (Demo screening on the main square at 22:00 on the 16th.)
