Imre Mariann, Munkácsy Mihály-prize winner painter and artist and Székely Gábor artist focus on the motive of human heart using unique tyle and material matching. Their work is hard to imagine, therefore it must be seen. For Imre Mariann, the embroidered stone heart is a word connection not a romantic metaphor. “Imre Mariann found his individual world of progression in the embroidery called pejoratively the feminine art. However, in his case, embroidery does not mean weakness, as due to his material creations, his work is very powerful. He has surpassed his own era of “land art”, the years of searching. As a main material or carrier, he does not work with soil, but with concrete.

(…) Katalin Tímár wrote very well about the unique, revolutionary embroidery of Imre Mariann and the role of women and men, about materials, saying that the concrete is the man and the yarn symbolizes the female being.” (Hajnalka Ván, Állomások The Art of Imre Mariann)
