Lulu James (UK)

It’s no use describing in words those performers who really fascinate us. Their music tells a lot more, their videos reveal even more than words. An artist like this is Lulu James, one of the relatively new discoveries of talent seekers, having education in British music.

The singer with pop, electro and soul style, debuted in 2012 and her album “Be Safe / Stuck”, came out a year later. Lulu’s music can be characterized as rather thoughtful, relaxing music.

In her person we are talking about a singer who is now beginning to be discovered by a wider audience. Her name also appeared at the performers of 2017 Glastonbury Festival. Luckily Lulu’s talent raised the attention of BBC’s media, from this moment on her world fame being very close.

Hardly anybody can complain about her lack of a stage presence: here the singer’s (born in Tanzania) Maasai roots come to surface, her stage accessories often include one-of-a-kind dresses and necklaces belonging to the Maasai native tribe.

There is a difference between live and studio recordings: the music is similar, but at concerts the jazzy, solos sound is much stronger, the music is more personal, more intimate and the electro roots are left in the background.
