The ruins of the Roman Empire
September 16, 2016
Emőd Veress is law professor, but has been active as a photographer for three decades. As the Roman Law is the base of modern legal doctrine, it is no wonder that the photographer is enchanted by the former Roman Empire – or by Roman ruins, majestic even in their current condition. The photographer traveled on three continents, visited dozens of countries and the Roman ruins while making hundreds of photographs. The exhibition offers a selection of these.
The exhibition is opened by Dr. Tamás Nótári, specialist of Roman Law and a classical scholar who is also the translator of Cicero’s pleadings into Hungarian.
