Hungarian Theatre of Cluj: Concord Floral
Digital natives, teenagers wearing headphones and mobile phones tell us their stories about their digital habits, problems, their parents’ worries, about experiencing their own sexuality, guilt or exclusion in an “almost thriller” theatrical production. About the possible consequences of instinctive reactions or reckless actions in such communities.
Concord Floral, written by Canadian playwright Jordan Tannahill and directed by Ferenc Sinkó is presented by a selected group of high school students from Cluj-Napoca as part of the Digital Natives international theatre project initiated by the Union des Theatres de l’Europe (UTE). While being adapted to our realities, but at the same time exploring topics of general concern, the play encourages us to nurture an honest, unbiased sense of curiosity towards others, regardless of age. A performance with no adults, about adult problems, by teenagers, about teenagers, not just for teenagers.
