LINEUP

▷ Kaiju (UK) DEEP MEDi
http://soundcloud.com/kaijudub

PA4-sess-kaiju-web-2Kaiju (怪獣 kaijū) is a Japanese word that means monster, or strange beast.
Winners of “Best New Producers” at the 2013 DSF awards, no one is building made-for-system music quite like Kaiju; arguably two of the finest producers in the 140bpm space. Now signed exclusively to the legendary DEEP MEDi MUSIK imprint, things are about to get heavy.
With audio support from the likes of Mary anne Hobbs, Mala, Vivek, Youngsta, J:Kenzo, N-Type, Biome, Distance, Truth and many more; it’s safe to say Kaiju have carved themselves a spot in the dubstep history books.
It’s rather rare that you hear unreleased music from the duo; unless they’re the ones playing it. The fact Kaiju keep tunes on lock ensures their DJ appearances are special occasions, with Kaiju-only sets creating a journey on the dancefloor for loving crowds across Europe and the USA.

▷ Frederic Robinson Live (CH)
http://clinictalent.com/frederic-robinson

PA4-sess-FrR-web-2In a world where harder and faster is the order of the day, Frederic Robinson deals in complex, nuanced music that displays a maturity of thought far beyond the young German’s years. Disciplined and focused, he stretches genres until the restrictions of tempo lose their meaning and the listener is free to simply experience music rather than categorise it. His intensely intricate sound design, instrumentation and arrangement places him closer to contemporary classical composers such as Steve Reich or Philip Glass than the gurus of dance music.
Despite having its roots in common dance music this is the exploration of sound and structure beyond the cheap, pyrotechnic tricks of clubland and into a much more intimate space of thought and emotion. Having trained as a classical violinist and now studying audio design in Switzerland Frederic is fixated with the meshing of the organic and the electronic, constantly pushing his instruments in new and unconventional ways to create unique textures.

PA4-sess-Jumbo-webEveryone knows Jumbo, at least all who live around Kézdivásárhely. If it weren’t for the Allmassive Crew in 2006, now we wouldn’t enjoy the mysterious journeys of Jumbo in Kézdivásárhely’s underground parties. But since boundaries are not so narrowly drawn and ears are sharped for well selected music, he was invited several times in Sepsiszentgyörgy, Csíkszereda but Budapest as well.
But what are his favourite genres of music? First of all Liquid Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Jump Up, 90’s Hip Hop, Trap, Trip Hop, Ragga Jungle and Bass Music.

▷ Smoothnoise
http://www.mixcloud.com/smoothnoise/

PA4-sess-Smoothnoise-webHenter Hunor (Smoothnoise) in late 2010 decided to study in more depth his muse for visual arts, the music. This genre of music is an auditory accessory to complement the visual part of his life. Generally, he prefers that kind of versatile electronic music where the presence of instrumental sounds, the thrill of vocal elements and broken beats is mandatory.
His one hour long original and unique mixes (named RELUME) resounded every two weeks in the program of AuroraFm online radio.
Music styles that can be found in his sets: (deep, french, funky, jackin, garage) house, nu-disco, indie dance, synthpop, electrica, funky, glitchhop, electro breaks, breakbeat.

PA4-sess-Beast-webBeast has mixed several genres of music from hip-hop, club, garage to folk, balkan, acid jazz… until he suddenly found himself trapped in the world of broken beats.
His style is strongly based on breakbeat music, his sets are melodic, improvised at the spot, full of lively vocals. He has interest for the art of turntablism and he believes that music is capable of a communication beyond words.
He performed at the major locations and festivals in Romania and he also showed his talent abroad.

▷ Grid
http://soundcloud.com/grid
http://mixcloud.com/grid

PA4-sess-Grid-webIt has to be fast and it has to be loaded with earth rumbling frequencies, and for Grid there’s one kind of music that has these qualities – drum and bass. Double drops and triple drops, mashups, classic anthems and fresh bangers, mixed fast and with precision are the trademarks of his style.
His varied sets including a wide range of underground music will leave you anything but disappointed.
