Strangeface Theatre Company (UK): Spaced
Award-winning and internationally renowned Strangeface Theatre Company is committed to providing their audience an intimate and unique theatrical experience: their nonverbal puppet show called Spaced is aimed at a maximum of 10 spectators, using headphones. This table top piece with its inventive story-telling and great puppetry is loved by adults and children alike. The humor of the performance is enhanced by the actors’ delightful style, the imaginative world of the puppets and scenography, and the familiar sound effects of cartoon classics.
The main character of the story is a little boy named Sergei, who gets bored sometimes, but he doesn’t look for trouble… yet trouble seems to find him! This time in the image of a mad scientist and an accidental trip to outer space. Like a child’s dream: only imagination can set boundaries for the adventures of Sergei!
And why is a Russian boy the main character? He can take us to a place of nostalgia, reflecting on the absurd moments of the communist era… Funny and delightful – a true puppet version of a silent party!
